Founding Engineer

Feb 2026 - PresentSecond Axis

I came on as the first engineer, which in practice meant there was no lane. One week I'd be in the weeds with the CEO and CTO figuring out what the product should actually do; the next I'd be building it — FastAPI services, streaming, webhooks, React, Next.js, MongoDB, AWS, agent orchestration, MCP tooling. Whatever needed to exist, I built it.

A big part of the job was also just talking to people. We were going after a 1,000+ PM community across Boston, SF, and New York — I helped run the events, did 60+ customer interviews, and stayed close to the accounts once they came on board. With early customers especially, I'd embed directly, build out custom integrations for their setup, and keep the relationship tight enough that we were hearing what was working and what wasn't in real time.
